Hi Munchworms!
It’s Tuesday! Time to torture my T-button by using it way too often and give you guys this week’s top ten of books I had a hard time with – hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.
I kind of went with a couple of books I just had a hard time with when it came to reading. The rest are all books I had a hard time with because of… Feels!
This can range from being freaked out, to being a crying baby to being pushed to thing about certain subjects.
As usual, every picture is the link to Goodreads so you can read the blurbs and add them to your TBR if you like!
Hard time reading
Hard time because of… feels…
I have to say that the last one, Black by Dirk Bracke, is only published in Dutch. I read this during my school time and at that age it was really confronting. This book tells the story of gangs and criminality of the youth in Brussels – which is the capital of the country I live in.
Are there any books you had a really hard time with? Any of the ones I mentioned here?
Kathy
Ah yes the feels in Deathly Hallows were too much (also the camping).

I enjoyed Dracula and Great Expectations, but I agree they are slower reads. Here is my Top Ten Tuesday.

I had a similar experience with Dickens’ books….

I was the same when reading Dracula. It took me over 3 months to read it.
I just bought Me Before You, the movie made me cry so bad, and I also bought the Sequel Me After You.
I also have The Notebook and the Sequel to that as well to read. I’m not much into romances novels, but I am going to try, because I love the movies so much, and also A Walk to Remember the movie was so sad, would love to read that.
I own The Shining as well, but haven’t read that yet, as I want to have the sequel to it as well. Yes I’m one of those people, lol. I can’t help it. 😀
Sorry for blabbering.

Haha that’s okay! I also like it more when I have the sequels so I can just keep reading so I totally get that! On the other hand, I’m also one of those people that tends to put aside sequels to get some other reading done first. 😅 But my sequel-problem will hopefully be solved after Sequel September! 😀
