Hi Munchworms!
Sequel September has ended, or almost ended. But for me? It already has!
I’ve been focusing on some eBooks / eARC’s that have been piling up for the past couple of days, even though I didn’t complete my Sequel September TBR.
Okay, so I kind of forgot to schedule this post before I left for the weekend, oops?
Anyway! The last couple of days of September, I didn’t focus on my sequels anymore. Why? I wanted to get some eARC’s read before diving into my own pile of books, because OWNtober, HERE I COME!
Still, I’m proud of how many sequels I got to cross off my TBR!
Let’s see, shall we?
The sequels I read:
The sequels I haven’t read:
Yup, still proud, haha!
How did you guys do?!
Kathy
That’s a lot of sequels! I reread The Raven Boys last month and I can’t wait to dive into its sequels for the first time. I thought about participating in OWNtober, but I used the Make Me Read It Readathon to read entirely books in my physical TBR pile and I’m trying to work through the library holds I have right now!

The Dream Thieves is definitely my favorite of the bunch! Let me know what installment you like best once you’ve read them! 😀
I joined that readathon as well, but.. obviously I have plenty of books on my physical TBR.. :’D Still 134 to go.. *coughs*
I haven’t even been to the library since I moved in with my boyfriend a year ago. Simply because I have way too many unread books of my own, haha.

Oh, I definitely will! And omg, I’ve managed to prune my physical TBR somehow, so it’s only down to 15 or so books… which is still a fair amount but much less pressing then before!

15?! I wish my TBR was like that.. But I’m getting there! 133 to go.. :’D

Whew, you had a great Sequel September. Most of the books you read were longer tomes, so good work!

Indeed they were! Took those with me on my road trip – which was both a curse and a blessing. Less books to carry around, but of course taking just one was also an added weight to my bag, haha.
Thank you! 🙂

I now try to keep myself from taking larger books with me on trips or vacations. I don’t need the added weight and I find that people tend to be happier when I’m reading something short so they can interrupt me without issue, lol.

I’d probably take shorter ones on a different kind of holiday, but since we were on a road trip, it was easier to just be able to read four hours in the same book than having to switch to another one [and by default having to crawl between all the luggage to get to another book]

That makes sense. Granted, most of my traveling/vacationing means bringing my e-reader and only a couple physical books to tide me over when the e-reader needs to charge up again.

This is such a great idea. I should dedicate a month to reading sequels since I am so bad at that! Well done!

It definitely helps you tackle your TBR!!
Thank you! 🙂

I’m impressed, that is a lot of books to read in a month! I can only average like 3 if I’m lucky . The Miss Peregrine series is fantastic and I am on the last 50 pages of the last book. The last book get very exciting near the end 🙂

I think I’m having an average of 13 / 14 books a month right now, but I really read everywhere and whenever I can.
I know I should pick those up again, but I couldn’t get into the second installment when I started reading it and have been neglecting it ever since.. :’)

I felt the same way when I started it but it picks up in the middle. That’s awesome!

I’ll try and find the motivation and mood to pick it up again, but we’ll see, haha.

Hi Kathy!
Wow that’s amazing that you read so many sequels this month! I just finished Illuminae (like, literally yesterday haha) which I absolutely loved. I am really excited to start reading Gemina!! Hoping that it will be just as good as the 1st book 🙂

It is! I’m so happy that I got through a lot of them. I need to get rid of the habit of postponing reading sequels haha.
Personally I loved Illuminae more, but still loved Gemina as well. Definitely looking forward to Obsidio!
