WWW: October 11th

Hi Munchworms!

WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking On A World of Words where you answer three fixed questions.

As you guys know, we’re in the middle of OWNtober, so I’m focusing on reading my own books. On top of that, I joined the #GetGraphic readathon this weekend, so I read a bunch of manga’s!

Let’s see what I got to read, huh!

What are you currently reading?

Eleanor Oliphant is Completely FineDeath Note, Vol. 6: Give-and-Take (Death Note, #6)

What did you recently finish reading?

Caraval (Caraval, #1)Harry Potter and the Cursed Child - Parts One and Two (Harry Potter, #8)Daughter of the Pirate King (Daughter of the Pirate King, #1)One of Us Is LyingThe Perks of Being a Wallflower

And five manga’s, but those will pop up in my GetGraphic Readathon wrap-up on Friday!

What are you reading next?

I honestly don’t know anymore! I just stare at all the books I have to read after finishing another one… There are so many I still have to read!
That and I ordered the whole Throne of Glass-series last month, but they still haven’t arrived. Three books have, but that’s it. I want the other ones so I can marathon them, haha.

These might be some options to read next, though:

We Are OkayCarrieThirteen Reasons Why

I think I can say that I had a pretty darn good reading week!

So, what have you guys been up to? Any books I should pick up.. NOW. Or more like, yesterday? Honestly, tell me! You can check out my physical TBR here and help me decide my next read!

    1. Did you see the show already?! I have and I honestly wonder how I’ll feel about the book once I’ve read it.. The show had such an impact that I’m – for once – not sure the book can achieve the same thing..?

    1. I should check about the second one; but Throne of Glass has arrived; that I know for sure. I haven’t scanned them on my Goodreads yet, so I don’t know which ones I actually have already and which ones I don’t.. I’ll check tonight! -If I don’t simply go KO when I finally get ohme, that is-

    2. We are going to start reading book 2 on the 22nd and we will each post our expectations that day, then discussion questions for part one on the 25 and the discussion for the rest of the book on the 29 if you want to read along and comment on our posts and discuss the book with us! Book 1 read pretty fast 🙂

    3. I’ll keep you and Alex posted on this! I just checked and book 2 hasn’t arrived yet, although I ordered it at the end of September.. Just sent a mail to BD so I’m keeping my fingers crossed that it’ll get here in time. If not, so be it. 🙂

    4. Sent them a huge mail about it and apparently they’re having issues with their ToG-stock since it isn’t refilled as it normally would be.. They have no idea whatsoever when I’ll get my books, so I’ll have to pass.. 😦

    5. Could’ve been; but the problem’s been solved, haha! I asked to cancel my order of the second book and ordered it somewhere else. It already arrived today! So now I just have to make sure that I’m ready to read it on time. 😀

  1. I’m almost finished reading Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban Illustrated edition, so I’m going to just go ahead and say that was the book I finished most recently. So I’m currently reading A Plague of Giants by Kevin Hearne and I’m also reading The Magician’s Keeper by NIcola E Sheridan. By the time I finish both of those it should be the weekend and I’ll be jumping into the books I want to read for the latest session of Readathon by Zoe.

    1. I still.. have to get my hands on that.. But the last books I ordered and got were a bit damaged so now I’m pretty anxious about ordering the illustrated version.. I don’t want to have the same thing with that gorgeous book as well, so I might just wait until I see it in a store somewhere..
People have been convincing me to join in the readathon after all, but I’m still waiting to make up my mind, haha. Might join in, might not. We’ll see!

    2. I love staring at the illustrations; they are just gorgeous and really elevate the reading experience.

Well, if you do join the readathon then that’s awesome; if not then maybe next time.

  2. Ohh, I hope you enjoyed reading Caraval. I found it a bit disappointing, but I think I had my expectations set up too high for that one! 🙂 I hope you’ll love We are Okay, I heard great things about this book so far, plus, that cover is soooo beautiful 🙂
    Happy reading! xxx

    1. I did! Honestly, I tried to escape the whole Caraval-hype in the weeks before reading it. I hate it when things like that get my hopes up and make me enjoy a story less, knowing that I might’ve enjoyed it more if I didn’t hear all the constant raving, haha.

      Thank you!!

    2. Ugh yes, I get it. I hate when that happens – I can’t quite escape the hype, well, it’s hard to, with everyone talking about the book everywhere ahah. We should just try and avoid it, not read any reviews, not expect anything. That is WAY too hard as well, ahahah.

  3. I really liked One of Us Is Lying (yes I had a hunch too, like many, but it didn’t stop me from enjoying the story), I also really liked Eleanor Oliphant! I find choosing my next read so difficult as well.. I’m so used to reading for a deadline that I don’t know how to pick my own next read anymore 🙂

    1. Didn’t stop me either! Especially since you also have those doubts about “it can’t be that; I’m missing something. What am I missing?!” At least that’s what I had, haha.
Haven’t read a lot in Eleanor Oliphant yet; couldn’t focus on reading yesterday evening and ended up playing stupid games on my phone for hours on end.. Oops.. :’)
Same! It feels freakishly weird to be able to just.. choose..

  4. Omg read Sleeping Beauties next! Or Carrie! As I’m typing this, I’m realizing those are both Stephen King books, clearly I’m in a particular reading mood, haha. I haven’t read Carrie in ages, I should get around to rereading it…
