Hi Munchworms!
WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking On A World of Words where you answer three fixed questions.
Since I joined Dewey’s 24 Hour Read-a-thon last Saturday, I’ll immediately use this post for my wrap-up as well!
What are you currently reading?
I know. Bad me.. Still haven’t continued with Eleanor Oliphant..
What did you recently finish reading?
Books I started before the read-a-thon but finished during it:
Books I started and finished during the read-a-thon:
What are you reading next?
I think I should probably clean out my CR? But…
These also look pretty tempting…
So, what books did you get to read this past week?
Are you joining in my Christmas Card Exchange? Remember November?
BOTH?!
Also: giveaway on its way!
I need to start reading the Throne of Glass series so badly! I have read the first little book of novellas and enjoyed them, but I need to get on to the actual series! I also really want to read Forest of a Thousand Lanterns and They Both Die at the End! Can’t wait to hear your thoughts!
Here is my post: https://katelynpdickinson.wordpress.com/2017/10/25/www-wednesday-10251/

I’ve honestly been cursing myself ever since reading Throne of Glass that I didn’t start reading these YEARS ago. On the other hand, I can now read a whole lot of books without having the wait a year for every sequel, haha. Currently reading The Assassin’s Blade! Those short stories are so much fun to read. 🙂
Thanks for stopping by! 😀

I saw ‘Eleanor Oliphant is completely Fine’ a while ago but never tried it yet. Wow, you get through so many books. I’m lucky to finish one a week, unless it’s kids books then that’s pretty easy, lol 🙂 Sorry for being so late to check out your blog, I’ve not heard of a read a thon or anything. I think I’m really out of a loop lol 🙂

I’m hoping to get through it eventually. If only I can find the right head-space for it, haha.
Honestly, I read quite a bit! When my boyfriend has the late shift, I have five to six hours to do nothing and just reaaad. [If his/my chores are done, that is.] And read-a-thons also help an awful lot!
I hadn’t heard of those before I started my blog either, but it’s fun! Some read-a-thons go for 24 hours, others for a weekend or a week or even a month. And it’s simply reading as much as you can [without burning yourself out]. Sometimes even ticking off challenges as you go! [November has the Read-a-thin; you could always check that out and see if it’s something you’d like doing. :)]

That sounds interesting the read-a-thin. 🙂 I’ll have to check that out, do you know where I can find it, of just do a general google search?

There’s a Twitter for the read-a-thin. Just look up readathin on Twitter and you’ll see the organizing accounts on that page. 😀

Thanks I’ll check it out 🙂

I really want to get my hands on ‘because you love to hate me’! Also I’ve been thinking that should I read the assassin’s blade before heir of fire?

I’ve only read two of the stories so far. Liked one, disliked the other. But I guess that’s all personal anyway, haha.
I’m currently reading The Assassin’s Blade but that’s purely because I’m addicted to Maas’ writing and that third installment STILL hasn’t shipped yet. *Gives BookDepository the stink-eye*
I’m halfway the third story and up until now I don’t really noticed any spoilers so I think you can read it whenever. 🙂 [Of course there might be spoilers that I haven’t read yet..]

I did not read nearly that many…only two, but I figured that would happen considering all my other plans.

I think you did a good job since you had all those plans! I probably would’ve simply given up before I even started, haha.

Thanks! I guess I’m just sad that I couldn’t try to beat my record from last October’s Dewey’s…9 books.

That’s an awful lot, haha. I saw the next one is happening April 28th? You could try then!

I know I could read more. I took several breaks and I even slept for a few hours, lol. Oh, I’m definitely going to keep participating. I love 24 Hour Readathons.

I’ll definitely be participating in others in the future. But the one on April 28th I’ll have to skip since it’s our two year anniversary then. I probably won’t be home.

Yeah, I understand skipping for something like that. If you follow Zoe Herdt on Twitter, and follow 24Hourathon on Twitter as well, both hold 24 Hour readathons every couple months through the year too.

Wasn’t following her yet! So I am now; thanks for mentioning it. 🙂

I saw SJM books up there! Hope you enjoyed reading the Throne of Glass series as much as I did!

I love the books I’ve read so far! But now it’s the waiting game since the third installment has yet to be shipped by BookDepository.. They’re having a stock problem unfortunately. 😦

Oh no! The waiting game is the worst game. But it will be worth the wait!
Heir of Fire is where I finally decided that I loved the series. And then after that.. it was auto-read SJM books for me 🙂

Oh boy; well, things are looking good then. If only that book would be here, like.. Now. Haha.
I already have Queen of Shadows and Empire of Storms so I really just need Heir of Fire so I can fly through them all. Oh, and Tower of Dawn.. That one’s still waiting to be shipped as well.. :’)

I have never tried to order books online. I’m still on the fence whether to try it or not. Usually it’s just the local bookstore for me or books in kindle.
I reaaaaly want to puchase booksets tho
LikeLiked by 1 person
Why not? For me it’s often a lot cheaper than buying them in a bookstore – English books are so expensive here.. Ugh.
I only use my kindle for eARC’s, haha. I’d rather have an actual book to hold.
Booksets are always so *drool*! I still have to get myself an English set of The Mortal Instruments so I can shove my Dutch versions in the closet, haha.

I have my eye on Cassie Clare’s books and Sarah J. Maas booksets. I’ve been drooling over bookstagram posts I wanna buy my own too

Haha, I have the ACOTAR-paperbacks. I was like “boo, they’re not the hardcovers” at first; but I still love them! And the ToG-series are slowly arriving, all hardcovers. I absolutely love those. They’re stunning so I completely understand why you’d want them! 😀
Bookstagram is hell if you can’t buy all the books you like.. So many pretty covers..
