Hi Munchworms!
I guess I’m on a roll with these monthly challenges, haha!
And since we’re over half of November… It’s time to set up my reading challenge for next month as well!
Is it me or is time flying by ridiculously fast?
In December I’m going to dedicate my monthly challenge to all the diverse books out there. I love that there are more and more of those and, especially at this time of year, I like reading more diverse books.
Around Christmas we all have our own traditions, our own cultures shining through so it just gives me that little extra when reading books that are diverse!
Rules
◊ Post a blogpost saying you’ll be joining me in reading as many diverse books as you can or own!
◊ Share your list of diverse books and show us which ones you’re going to try and read.
◊ If you’re sharing your updates on social media, use #DiverseDecember so we can follow up on each other!
I still have to check what diverse books I have left in my TBR-pile – I’m so proud that I’ve been decreasing it enormously, haha! – so my TBR will be up at the end of November!
For those of you who haven’t yet, you’re still welcome to join in Remember November as well!
Oh, this is a lovely challenge! Wish I’d’ve caught it in time, to be honest. Diversity in books is one of my favourite things to read about!! Have you read Six Of Crows or The Sun Is Also A Star yet? They’re really amazingly written diverse books ^^

Thank you!
You can always hop on if you feel like it! I always set myself a monthly challenge / goal / theme and it’s more fun if people join. 🙂
I read the Six of Crows duology, yes! Loved it! Still have to read the other Grisha books though, haha.
Haven’t read The Sun Is Also A Star but I think I put it on my TBR on Goodreads. One day!

The Sun Is Also A Star was one of my absolute faves!! I don’t think I’ll ever stop recommending it! If you feel like reading a spoiler free book review on it to let me convince you how good it is, I can link to mine here https://andreasnirvana.wordpress.com/2017/10/26/the-sun-is-also-a-star-by-nicola-yoon-book-review-spoiler-free/ 😀
I think I’ll join on one of your monthly challenges, but I honestly don’t know on which I should hop on… Any recommendations?

I’ll go and check it out!
Haha, you can just take a look and see what interests you? I made a whole list of all my challenges already – although the actual official posts have yet to be posted but I always do that the month before the challenge starts.
December = Diverse reads
January = TBR jar with books you wanted to read in 2018
February = Fantasy
March = Munches bingo
April = Thrillers / suspense / horror books
and the rest.. I don’t remember right now, haha.

Oh my, I’m living for the January & February ones! I’m afraid I don’t quite understand the March one? But for Jan & Feb I’ll have to set reminders, I’m definitely doing them! Though it’ll take a while to compile a have-all, be-all TBR list haha :))

The March one is a bingo sheet with food on it that’s linked to a certain prompt. ex: Popcorn for a thriller / suspense novel. 🙂
Haha, TBR’s always take up a lot of time for me as well!

Ohh damn, that sounds really interesting! Definitely have to get around that, too.

can I still do this if I don’t have a blog?

Of course you can! You can always put up your TBR elsewhere – Instagram or Twitter or whatnot. 😀

Well, I guess I need to go through my books and see what diverse reads I still want to get to this year so I can try and put together a TBR.

Ooh, curious to see what diverse reads you have yet to read. 🙂

Oh so many diverse reads to pick up already, and I’m sure there will be many more to add in future months and years. I have my tentative TBR post scheduled for next Wednesday.

Reminds me that I still have to schedule mine, haha.

I would’ve done it this weekend otherwise but.. The motivation to actually work at work isn’t present on this Friday. :’)

I still have to do my Friday shift yet. I just now got home from my Thursday shift. It was 12 hours instead of the normal 8. And now it is time for a quick shower and then bedtime because it is 3:30am.

Yikes! It’s now 9.30 am here. I’ve been at it for two hours already but time’s passing by slowly. So slowly. Yay for Fridays.
Sucks that you had such a long shift! Hope your shower can relax you some and you get a good night’s sleep!

The amount of sleep I get depends on when my boyfriend wakes up in the morning. He went to bed 5 hours ago so if I’m lucky I’ll get 5 hours of sleep before he wakes me up.
I hope your Friday speeds up a little so you can get started with your weekend.

Good for you that you get up with him! I’d probably just stay in bed and sleep as long as I can before the next shift starts, haha.
Thanks! 🙂

whooop whooop! i reallly need to look at my books and which books qualify for that 😀

Haha, I always just go to Goodreads and look up the diverse lists. Then it’s simply picking out the ones that mention they’re on my “owned-tbr” shelf :’D

yeah, but i am a lazy person 😀 😀 😀

Looking it up on Goodreads is easier than staring at my shelves at home, haha :’D

NOOOO! goodreads you need to do some clicks. staring at the shelves while you’re in bed – HEAVEN!!! ❤ 😀

I can’t see my shelves when I’m in bed. I’d have to sit on the table or on the floor, haha. :’D

Diverse December sounds great! How could you come up with such great challenges/readathon?
I will definitely participate!! I’ll need to think up my December TBR… hmmm

I had a brainstorming day once and came up with a whole load of monthly challenges, haha.
I think I only need one month.. Should take a look at that someday soon.
I sort of have my TBR ready but it’ll depend on what books I still pick up during November as well. Knowing me, I’ll have read one or more diverse books before November’s over. :’D
