January Jam Jar: TBR

January Jam Jar

Hi Munchworms!

If this is my first post of today you’re seeing: A Happy New Year to you! Wishing you all you could possible wish for to make 2018 an amazing year!

As I said earlier in December, I’m dedicating January to all those bookworms out there using a jar to decide their next read. I’m a huge mood reader, so it isn’t something I easily do but I decided to give it a shot!

As for the books I’m filling my jars –Β yes, multiple! I’ll get to that soon! – with, I’m going with books I really wanted to read before 2017 was gone but… I just didn’t get to them…Β As if I ever thought I would..

Two jars! Yes, two! Why? Because I want to switch between my own books and my ARC’s. To do that in a decent way, creating two jars seemed like the perfect way to go. This, of course, means I have two TBR’s!

    1. It’s a love/hate kind of thing, haha. The moments I found myself indecisive, it came in sooo handy. But yesterday I didn’t even know what I felt like reading except for one specific book that isn’t even in my jar so.. yeah.. Ugh, haha.

  1. I will be joining, but I’m not adding my TBR into a jar. I actually ordered a rather large (30+) number of books from Book Outlet in December, so when it gets here Wednesday I’m adding the books that already had in my pile to the box and just reach in and crap a book.

    1. Haha, that’s just a reading box instead of a jar! Same principle, somewhat? πŸ˜€
I wish I could order from BookOutlet as well but it’s either too high shipping to Europe or they simply don’t even ship here whenever it comes to sites with cheapish books..

      Oh well! Happy reading! πŸ˜€

  2. Putting everything in a jar and picking them out is such a great idea because I am SO indecisive. I’ve been quite good with choosing my picks for January but I will consider the jam far if I get stuck next month!

    1. Haha, I know what books I want to read, but it’s often not the books that I NEED to read first. :’) The jar’s been fun so far! Although I didn’t really think my ARC-jar through since I have an eARC to read before January 11th and.. well.. Fingers crossed that’s the next one I pull out of the jar? :’)
      Happy reading!! πŸ˜€

  3. Wow there are some interesting books in both of your jars! Letters to the lost looks very interesting, I really like the cover ;-). And of course the ‘pink’ novel by Camilla Isley. I have two of her books in my wishlist because of their covers so I hope it’s going to be a good read. Happy reading and best wishes Kathy!

    1. I pretty much NEED to read Letters to the Lost since More Than We Can Tell is on my eARC’s list and that’s the second book of the series, haha. But I already had both on my “want to read”-list before I got approved so yay for having an excuse to buy the first!
I haven’t read anything by her yet but it sounded like one of the more interesting reads on LibraryThing. πŸ™‚
Thanks, Inge! Hope you had a fun start of the new year! πŸ™‚
