WWW

Hi Munchworms!

WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking On A World of Words where you answer three fixed questions. But first, something else.

As some of you might’ve seen on Twitter, things aren’t so great with my dog. He’s had a small hard attack on Monday and it freaked me out big time. He’s on medication, but if he has another one in the upcoming weeks, it might be fatal.
That on top of some other things going on pretty much equals me being an emotional mess. I’m staying at home the rest of the week, doctor’s orders, but I probably won’t be as active on here since it’s time for some much-needed self-care.
I love you all, and if any of you needs to talk because they have stuff going on as well, feel free to contact me through my social media or mail! We can all use some support sometimes.

Anyway. Back to business; here’s my reading update for this week.

What are you currently reading?

Days of Blood & Starlight (Daughter of Smoke & Bone, #2)Champion (Legend, #3)
I might finish Champion today, but we’ll see!

What did you recently finish reading?

What are you reading next?

Oh, need I say my ARC’s have exploded? AGAIN?!

Love ConnectionSometime After MidnightThe OneConsort of Secrets (The Witch's Consorts #1)
Sticks and StonesThis Is Just My Face: Try Not to StareYou, Me, Everything
Reach for the Stars: A feel good, uplifting romantic comedyMake or Break

I don’t know if I’ll be reading a lot. I’m going to see what I feel like and just… do what I feel like doing. If it isn’t reading, so be it. I’m done feeling this numb and I need to pick myself back up again.

I realize this isn’t the happiest post, at all, but know that I love you all and appreciate your support. Blogging helps me tons and you’re a part of that. If you have any fun, heart-lifting stories to tell, things going right or want to talk about things going wrong, feel free to share!

  1. Oh no I’m so sorry to hear about your dog. I hope he responds well to the medication he was prescribed. Also I so sorry to hear you’re having a hard time too. You come first so take all the time you need we will be here waiting when you come back. I hope things start to look up for both you and your doggie.💕

  2. It’s so stressful when something is wrong with our pets! Hope he will be ok 😦 My dog Flo was on antibiotics last week because of a hotspot on her skin that she wouldn’t start licking. She licked all the skin off – it was awful, and that was nowhere near as bad as your doggie, so I understand how you feel. Lots of love and hugs. xx

    1. It’s the first time something ever happened to him so it really was / is quite the scare.
Oh boo, even though it isn’t as “bad” I can imagine the scare being as great as mine was though. Hope Flo feels better and the hotspot is healing!

    2. Yes, she’s much better. Her skin is back to normal and her bald patch is starting to grow some hairs again. She is still wearing the lampshade at night though or when we’re not around! Poor dog.
      How’s your doggy?

  3. Hey there Kathy – keep your chin up butter cup, everything always works out in the end. I really hope you feel better soon. Blogging personally always helps me when I’m going through rough times so I hope it does the same for you. Either way you’re a tough cookie and I just know you’ll pull through. ❤ ❤

    1. Thank you, Delphine. I’m doing a bit better. Taking time off from work definitely proves to be good for me and I’m still around, although less than I normally am. Blogging does help, but putting it aside for a bit lessens the pressure. Which is needed right now. 🙂

      Thank you! ❤ ❤

  4. Oh no, I love my dog to bits and I can relate how incredibly hard this must be for you.
I’m really hoping your sweet dog responds well to medication and is on the mend soon. 🍀 Focusing on you and your faithful companion is the best thing to do, your readers do understand! ❤️

    1. Thank you. He’s doing okay so far, but we’re all sure he won’t go back to being his quirky self. His medication seems to help, but I don’t think it’ll last long before something worse will happen.. Trying to stay positive is hard when your dog doesn’t act like he used to anymore..
      Thank you! ❤

  5. Hey! I’m so sorry to hear you’re going through a rough patch 😦 I saw the thing about your dog on Twitter, I hope he’ll be alright! Best of luck with it, you’ll pull through!
I’m really sorry to hear about the rest, too :(( Really sorry you’re going through it, but you’ll persevere! And don’t worry about us, we’ll be alright, you come first 💛
I’m always here as well, one DM or email away 💛 Take care! (oh, and darned great post!!)

    1. Thank you, girl! The time off is proving to be very, very needed. My dog’s fine right now; medication is helping but we’re sure he’s never going to be the same again. He was always so upbeat and quirky, now he’s silent and so calm.. It isn’t like him.. We’ll see how things go. I hope he pulls through entirely but it’s so doubtful..
      Thank you, girl! ❤

    2. You’re most welcome ❤ Yeah, I completely understand :< I do hope he'll be fine, though, and restored to as much of his older self as possible!
