Hi Munchworms!
It’s the first of April and I sincerely hope you’re not going to get tricked an awful lot today. It’s one of those days I pretty much loathe and I feel sorry for all the kids with evil parents who’ll trick them this Easter.
I can only imagine the things they can come up with…
Anyway! Time for my March wrap-up and, of course, my Munches in March wrap-up!

Looks like you had a really good reading month! 🙂
My fave book this month might have to be Shadow & Bone and Scarlet!
I’m excited to see that you bought The Call, it’s pretty underrated but I love it so much 🙂

It was.. less than previous months but still good, haha!
Oooh, I just bought the Shadow & Bone trilogy. I need to read those at some point. I want to binge them but I’m so bad at bingeing series – it’s unreal. Loooove The Lunar Chronicles! ❤
I bought it for a monthly challenge I was doing in March but didn't get to finish it. I'm barely through the first quarter, oops. Got distracted by my eARC's there but I'm really going to finish it! The whole concept sounds so intriguing and new!

I’m kind of savouring the Grisha Trilogy, so I totally get it 🙂 However, I am binge-reading the Lunar Chronicles, so it depends on the Series for me 😀
I hope you end up liking it! 🙂

The Lunar Chronicles was a pretty easy series for me to binge as well! Same with the Percy Jackson & the Olympians-series. I read those books in barely a week, I think.
Thank you!

Oh I reread Percy Jackson in about a week last summer when I had time, it was amazing 😀

True! Although I do think younger me would’ve enjoyed it a bit more – but I still enjoyed it. 😛

I read quite some books this March, but I’m really excited for ApTHRILL! I’m definitely joining in, and I have a few books I’m excited to read.

I am so not a fan of April Fools Day. I don’t even know why it’s still a thing. April Fools pranks quit being funny in like third grade. Ugh. I picked up To Kill a Kingdom a couple weeks ago (from Book Depository so I could get the paperback :). It’s not my usual kind of read but I read several glowing reviews and I was intrigued. Hopefully we’ll both love it!

I honestly believe those “pranks” are getting worse and worse every year. I don’t even want to know how many people put their family and friends through worries claiming they’d broken a leg / arm. Not to mention the couple few using pregnancy as a prank?! [I was busy blocking certain people on April 1st, that’s for sure..]
Fingers crossed for To Kill a Kingdom! 🙂

12 books, that’s amazing! I’m so happy that you had a lovely reading month and wow, that’s a massive book haul hahaha. I’m also going to read To Kill a Kingom very soon and I am so impatient, it sounds amazing 😀
Hope you’ll have a fantastic April 🙂

Seriously I need to stop being books and my boyfriend needs to get his stuff in order so he doesn’t have to buy me books anymore either. I don’t know where to start reading lately, haha. [Not that it’s a new problem but it’s even worse now?]
I’ve heard many, many good things about To Kill a Kingdom! Hope it lives up to it! 😀
You too, Marie! 🙂

Great month! My best March reads are Obsidio and The Exact Opposite of Okay.

The Exact Opposite of Okay miiiight be just my best April read, depending on what other books I’ll pick up this month, haha. Obsidio is everything! [At least it is now I’ve forgiven the book for that major hangover I had..]

i really need to get started on that series with obsidio… 🙈

12 books in a month is really good, especially when you think of the length of some of them. Great job! I’m actually pretty proud of my smaller book haul in March; I didn’t buy as many books as I typically do.

Thanks!
I’m honestly blaming my sudden need to buy the physical copies of eARC’s I loved. If it wasn’t for that, there’d be less books for sure!

That’s understandable. I usually buy finished copies of ARCs I love.

I’m starting to do that now. It’s fun though; books arriving and not having to go “oh darn, more on the TBR pile” :’)

I think the best book I read in March was Strange Weather by Joe Hill. Normally with collections like that I tend to not like one or more of them, but this one I enjoyed each novel.

Looked it up and it sounds somewhat intriguing, but also not really my thing, ha. I’m simply quite wary of collections as well. They tend to disappoint me big time so.. yeah.. :’)

I’ve been dying to read To Kill a Kingdom and Daughter of the Siren Queen! I read the Pirate King a little while back, and have been wanting to read the sequel ever since! Congrats on reading so many books! I can hardly manage to read 7-8 books a month! 😂

Oooh, definitely time to pick up Daughter of the Siren Queen! I have yet to read To Kill a Kingdom and I have this stinking feeling I’ll have to keep pushing it back on my TBR.. *sigh*
Haha, thank you! 7-8 books a month is still a lot though! We all have our different reading speeds! Not to mention my life simply isn’t as busy as others is. 😛

I am finally going to be reading the Illuminae Files trilogy this month. For my favorite March read I’m going to have to go with Hunting Prince Dracula by Kerri Maniscalco it was amazing.

Ooooh. I hope you’ll love The Illuminae Files! 🙂 And I’ll keep my fingers crossed you don’t get the massive book hangover I had after finishing Obsidio..
I’m so looking forward to Maniscalco’s books. I’m going to slam my head against a wall if I haven’t read them by the end of this month.. I’ve been postponing those way too long now.

I have a feeling I’m going to love that trilogy and I hope I don’t end up with a book hangover lol. I hope you’re able to get to them this month as well. They are so good.

Haha, I’ll keep my fingers crossed the hangover won’t get to you – but it got to a ton of people so.. 😛

I started Illuminae last night. I only managed to read 19 pages so far though.

😮 This is the first time I’ve seen a bingo formatted TBR Goal thingy….. and it’s AMAZING!!!!
I am in awe of how much you’ve read IN JUST ONE MONTH…. I barely read anything….. In comparison to this I probably read like a page hahaha.
I may just have to pick up ALL OF THESE! If only so my month can be any where near as productive haha.
But first ILLUUUUUUMMMMIIINNNAAAAEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!

Oooh, seriously?! You should look some up! They are EVERYWHERE!
Hahah, don’t compare though. I read a lot and March has even been a “lesser” month for me – which is crazy, I know.. :’)
Don’t pressure yourself, hahah! 😛
YESYESYES. AND THEN GEMINA. AND OBSIDIO. GO AND LOVE THOSE BOOKS. LOVE THEM, I TELL YOU.

Wow you’re really close to finishing your bingo! I think the best March read has to Restore Me by Tahereh Mafi. I’ve been hyping it up and waiting for it since the time it was announced and it did NOT disappoint 😌
LikeLiked by 2 people
Right?! If it hadn’t been for my Obsidio hangover, I might’ve made the whole bingo card but unfortunately.. Haha.
Oooh, awesome! I bought the first three books (and the novellas) a while back but I haven’t read them yet. If they’re as good as everybody’s saying, I’ll probably be ordering Restore Me before I even finish the ones I already own, haha.

I am definitely considering buying Consort of Secrets now… damn you and your skillful reviews!!
Ohhh you’ll be reading the Grisha trilogy soon? I’m curious to find out about your thoughts!
Sounds like you had a pretty productive month 😀 I also hauled Children of Blood and Bone, finally!
Great post- here’s to an even greater April! P.S. my monthly wrap-up is here, if you’re interested: https://andreasnirvana.wordpress.com/2018/03/31/march-monthly-wrap-up-bookish-things/

As far as I’ve noticed in the author’s FB group, she’s a true sweetheart so maybe you can even send her a mail and ask for an ecopy to review? You can only try!
I have nooo clue whether I’ll be reading the Grisha-trilogy soon, haha. I want to but.. well.. uh.. Too many books?
Started Children of Blood and Bone yesterday but I’m not that far in yet; definitely liking the whole world so far though! It’s so.. different!
Going to check it out! 😀

Aghhhh I’ll see then… I’m teriffied though haha :’)
Honestly I relate, don’t stress about it 😀
I’m DYING to read COBAB! Good different, I hope 😀

I relate, haha. Sending mails like that is always terrifying. I’ve send mails to.. two publishers so far? And, like.. Have gotten no reply whatsoever so it bummed me out big time. :’) Mailing straight to an author is entirely different though!
Honestly, there’s even one author I have contact with on a regular basis – we even sent each other a Christmas gift, haha.
Nooooo stress whatsoever! I think.
Definitely good different! The world-building is TO DIE FOR. And all characters are black? Like, what more could we wish for? [Secretly hoping there’s some hidden LGBTQIA somewhere but I don’t think so.]

How rude! I’m terrified as well haha :’)
Aww, such an adorable interaction right there! 😀 I have an author I find really approachable and nice as well.
AGHHHH REPRESENTATION YES FINALLY

Right? It just proves that authors are human and not the holy deities we sometimes imagine them to be. Although some could be, seriously. They could. Reading their books; they cannot be just human. They have to be more than that. How else could they come up with THE BEST IDEAS EVER.
EXACTLY. Like, some quotes. Seriously. I’m going to look through my sticky notes RIGHT NOW to find the quote I wanted to mark a hundred times:
“Your people, your guards – they’re nothing more than killers, rapists, and thieves. The only difference between them and criminals is the uniforms they wear.” – COBAB, Tomi Adeyemi
LIKE. READ THAT. IT’S GOLD ON A PAGE.

I’ve fallen into the trap of thinking that of authors as well… I know how it is.
Agh, I WANT TO READ IT SO MUCH. I hope it’ll get to me today (at least it should, smh). But the delivery guys didn’t contact me yet!! I am :((( sad :(((

Slap the delivery guys if they have the guts to now show up today. Like, seriously. They should know delivering books has PRIORITY over anything else. :’)
