TTT: Favorite reads of 2018 so far!

TTT

Hi Munchworms!

This week’s topic for That Artsy Reader Girl‘s Top Ten Tuesday is:
“Books you loved but won’t reread”!

It hasn’t been that long since I talked about the books I read, keep but won’t reread, so I decided to – once again – put a little spin on this topic. I’m going to share my favorite reads of 2018 so far! Sounds like a fun way to see what changed in a couple of months, right? What books will make it through until the end, which ones won’t?!

Autoboyography180 SecondsSimon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda
Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul on Tough Stuff: Stories of Tough Times and Lessons Learned (Chicken Soup for the Soul)Faking FriendsThe Exact Opposite of Okay
Daughter of the Siren Queen (Daughter of the Pirate King, #2)Consort of Secrets (The Witch's Consorts #1)Obsidio (The Illuminae Files, #3)Children of Blood and Bone (Legacy of Orïsha, #1)

Are any of these one of your favorites as well?! Which ones?

Yep

  1. May I yell at you to read Let’s Talk About Love? Because PLEASE :<

Fun fact I just recently ordered both COBAB (as you know) and the Illuminae trilogy… save me and my finances :')

I loved Simon vs as well! Can't believe it took me this long to read !!

    1. I want to but I seriously cannot afford it anymore. I went nuts and ordered the hardcover-copies of The Mortal Instruments [Because they were like 37% off?!] and now I’m more than “just broke”. Pretty sure my bank account is flashing RED all over the place.. I need sponsors. Book sponsors. Desperately. We both do!

Hahaha; oh I’m so glad I’m not in this alone. xD But I hope you love all of them. ❤

      I NEED THE MOVIE. NOW.
Good thing I'm going to Scotland next month and it's already in theaters there. I hope it'll still be when I get there or I'll be mad as freak. :')

    2. Ah, I feel you so much :< and yes, oh lord, we definitely both need sponsors. Still, I still think you should read it ASAP cause we both know ain't no one keepin us on a book buying ban for too long. Even if I have to eat grocery store ramen for two months. Worth it.

OH MY GOD I hope it'll be out there! Hehe, out 😀 my dad joke game is intensifying save me :')

    3. Yes we dooo! Hahaha, true that although I don’t think my boyfriend would be willing to sacrifice two months of decent food to grocery store ramen.. He’d rather throw me out. xD [Okay, probably not but still. It would be a very tense two months..]

      HAHAH. Fingers crossed!

  2. I read Simon Vs. when it came out but it’s a favorite. I really want to re-read it. I also want to re-read the first two books before getting to Obsidio, but I’m so glad you loved it. I own Autoboyography and hope to read soon, and I really want to read The Exact Opposite of Okay, so yay for a good reading year so far.

    1. The Exact Opposite of Okay is soooo good! I’ve been struggling tons with my review because it’s all a raving rambling mess, haha.
Hope you get to all of them soon! They’re just so good; they deserve to be high up on your TBR. 😀

  3. So agree with Autoboyography! That one just did my heart good and got one of my oh so rare 5 star ratings. And I’ve lost track of how many times I’ve read Simon at this point. LOL Between the book and the audio version it’s probably at 8 or 10 rereads. Ha!

    1. Haha, they are both books definitely worth rereading, that’s for sure! Although if I’d have to pick one of the two, I can only go for Simon vs. That novel stole my heart and soul and everything. ❤
Haven't reread it yet, but I'm simply not really a rereader. I'm sure I'm going to pick it up again at some point though. 😛

  4. I’ve been meaning to pick up the first book in Tricia’s pirate series because a. I’ve seen lots of great reviews on them, and b. they sound so fun. Who doesn’t love a good, old-fashioned swashbuckling adventure now and again?! 🙂

  5. Simon is definitely one of my favorites for this year. I want to see the movie but for some reason it’s not playing in my theaters. Idk if I just missed it or if they just didn’t play it so I have to wait for it to come out on dvd.

    1. Normally if there’s a movie I want to see I usually have no problems with it but every now and then there’s a movie that just doesn’t get played in my theater for some reason. Oh well I really want to get the dvd anyways I just wish it would hurry up and come out because I really want to see the movie already.
