Hi Munchworms!

WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking On A World of Words where you answer three fixed questions.

I kind of gave myself the goal of clearing my current reads since there were five on there. That’s a lot, right? Now there’s only two! I’m so proud!

What are you currently reading?

The CallTower of Dawn (Throne of Glass, #6)

I finally got through Days of Blood and Starlight, people! It’d been on here since December but it’s gone! I did it! I read it! And I liked it? Took me a long, long while to get into the story because it felt like it kept dragging on and on but hey.

As always, just click on the cover to check out the Goodreads-page!

What did you recently finish reading?

All the Little LightsStalking Jack the Ripper (Stalking Jack the Ripper, #1)Days of Blood & Starlight (Daughter of Smoke & Bone, #2)
The Novice (Summoner, #1)Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking GlassLeah on the Offbeat (Creekwood, #2)

I read a lot of books, whoop!

What are you reading next?

Okay, so… I’m kind of failing ApTHRILL big time, but I simply don’t feel like reading King-books? I was pumping myself up for it for weeks and then when it’s finally time to read his books I don’t want to. It sucks. But I’m not going to force myself. Which means I might start my mood-reading earlier? Actually, I’m already doing that since I picked up Tower of Dawn this morning, oops. After that I feel like picking up The Trans Generation – one of my eARC’s.

And this is how my eARC-TBR looks like right now:
[I know. I messed up again…]

Brave EnoughThis Is Just My Face: Try Not to StareThe Adults
Twice Dead (The Necromancer's Song, #1)Cinderella BoyBeast: A Tale of Love and Revenge
The Trans Generation: How Trans Kids (and Their Parents) Are Creating a Gender RevolutionThe Unbinding of Mary ReadeThe Art of French KissingThe Raging Ones (The Raging Ones, #1)

On a happy note, I only have three more days of work before I’m off for two weeks -YAY! I’ll be having tons of time to read, or so I hope. And I’m going to Scotland [Edinburgh] for five days. Definitely looking forward to that!

Have you ever been to Scotland? Edinburgh? Anything I should definitely do while I’m there?
How many of you have read Tower of Dawn? Should I prepare myself to be shattered in a million pieces? [I’m thinking yes since Maas is the queen of heartbreak..]

Yep

    1. Oh no, sorry to hear that! Well, don’t force yourself to read it if you’re not in the right mood, but maybe the further in you get, TOD will fix your slump-ish mood?!

    2. I’m pretty sure it’ll fix my slump-ish mood, haha! I’ve already read a bit more in it. I guess I’m simply enjoying my time off a bit too much and am doing anything but the things I usually do when I’m working, which includes reading after work, of course. 😛 I’ll get back on top of my game, no doubt!

  1. I love Edinburgh!! I was there about a year ago and it is officially one of my favorite cities! Definitely go to The Elephant House and Greyfriars Cemetery to get your Harry Potter fix. Also the castle is really neat and you get an amazing view of the city from there. And the Palace at Holyrood House. Basically just see everything haha

    Have so much fun!!!

    1. London has always been my favorite city; hasn’t changed so far but maybe.. Just maybe.. 😛

I literally mailed your recommendations to myself just now! I have yet to see what we’re going to do exactly, so I’m going to take a look at it later on this week. Thank you! 😀 And I will DEFINITELY have to get my Harry Potter fix. No doubt about that. 😛

      Thank you!! ❤

    2. I really liked London too, but something about Edinburgh just stole my heart ❤️ There is something almost magical about that city. I would seriously move there if I could. I hope you have a fantastic time!!

  2. I went to Glasgow, not Edinburgh (blogged my experience here https://jhohadli.wordpress.com/2014/04/23/the-morning-after-2). The thing that I did was take the train up to Balloch at the foot of Loch Lommond, exploring for a day. I am a Caribbean woman so I found it all very cold and though I came down with the flu afterwards, I loved it. p.s. I feel you on the tbr pile…I have books I’ve been reading for years at this point (it’s pathetic) but as with my trip to Scotland, I remind myself it’s not the destination but the journey…or something (lol).

    1. Ooh, nice! I’m going to check it out. 🙂
We’re going to discover Edinburgh and hop on the train to Perth for a day. Maybe we’ll do some other impulsive visits as well but I guess we’ll see how our moods are, haha. We haven’t really planned anything specific yet. 🙂
Sucks you got the flu afterwards though! I’m keeping my fingers crossed for no rain but since it’s Scotland.. You never know, haha.
Hahaha; that’s one way to look at it! Although all those unread books are definitely a lot of journeys still to start.. 🙂

    1. Thank you!
Haha, I’ll try to do that although I might just not do it on purpose as well and just enjoy the five days of blog- and work-free days. [Especially since I just know I won’t be able to stay away from my blog during my other days off. :P]
Honestly, that one has been catching my eye a LOT lately! I might just pick it up pretty soon. We’ll see. 😛

    1. I AM. AND I’M SO LOOKING FORWARD TO IT. I’m bringing my camera – it’s been a while since I used it, sigh – so there’ll definitely be pictures! And otherwise Instastories! Maybe. Idk. We’ll see, haha.
      Thank you! 😀
I wish I had magical “stop requesting”-powers, really.. xD

    1. Well great job! It’s definitely not a bad thing. I actually never thought to post all the books I’ve read the last week. I only post the one I recently finished. Maybe, I should add them all! haha 🙂

    2. I just like having the overviews myself as well, haha. That way I can easily see how much I’ve been reading instead of having to count on Goodreads and hope I logged them perfectly there. :’)
And I just like the abundance of covers in my WWW-post. Can’t help it. 😛

  4. Oh wow, you did finish a lot of books!
I love that book with the macarons! I mean, it’s really not something i’d read, but damn maracons… you know what i mean 😀

    1. Right? My brain’s pretty much starting its holiday a week sooner, haha.
Food on the cover.. Downfall, every single time. I know. 😛 I just hope I won’t have to make macarons because I can’t even take one out of a bought box without smashing it to pieces.. Let alone MAKE them.. :’)

    1. Right? I was so happy to kick them all off and not having to put them back on my TBR at that.
I liked it! For a historical fiction, I had less issues with it than I expected, haha. I still have to edit my review and stuff but it’ll be online.. soon.. ish.. I think? :’)
