WWW Wednesday

Wednesday means… Reading update time! I’ve finished some books, made my currently reading-shelf explode again and… well, I can still say I’m enjoying my mood-reading month, really. Let’s take a look, shall we?

As always, covers link back to the Goodreads-page, so feel free to check them out!

Current read

The CallCurtsies & Conspiracies (Finishing School, #2)This Is Just My Face: Try Not to Stare

Compared to last week, both The Call and Curtsies & Conspiracies are stuck. I’ve also started This is Just My Face by Gabourey Sidibe. I’m quite enjoying her snark, but it’s taking me some time to get through it – although it isn’t that long of a book. Oops.

Finished reading

The Trans Generation: How Trans Kids (and Their Parents) Are Creating a Gender RevolutionBeast: A Tale of Love and RevengeA Quiet Kind of ThunderThe Loneliest Girl in the Universe

I finished four books! I’ve yet to edit / decently write my reviews, but keep an eye out for those! Right now, I’m only going to say The Trans Generation is a very, very interesting read for anyone interested in or knowing someone who’s part of the trans community. Also adding that A Quiet Kind of Thunder really made me want to meet Sara Barnard – which I will definitely do when I’m at YALC this year!

Reading next

As you saw, I haven’t made much progress on the Finishing School-series yet, so let’s hope I’ll do that this week. Apart from that, I might read History is All You Left Me – or maybe I should try clearing my current reads? We’ll see how it goes!

Waistcoats & Weaponry (Finishing School, #3)History Is All You Left Me

Any of you read History is All You Left Me or A Quiet Kind of Thunder yet?
Do you sometimes pick up a non-fiction novel?

    1. The only book by Adam Silvera I read so far is They Both Die at the End. And I’ve had people saying me all his books got them crying so I’m definitely preparing myself for just that. [Still haven’t started it though. Got distracted by other books, as usual. :P]

    1. I’m also raving about it, haha. I loved the deaf and selective mute-rep in that book. Absolutely loved it.
Same here! I have no clue when I’ll read it yet, but I’m looking forward to it already. 🙂

  1. I SO want to read A Quiet Kind of Thunder, it sounds amazing. What did you think of The Loneliest Girl? I can’t wait for your review, I loved that one so much, even better than the author’s debut. Happy reading!! ❤ ❤

  2. I’ve been wondering about picking up a Sara Barnard book and was thinking about a quiet kind of thunder, but I’m just not sure. I adore Sarah Dessen and they often describe their work as similar, but I’m afraid it won’t live up to my expectations :’)

    1. I read it in under 24 hours – and that included sleep and chores! It’s SO WORTH READING. ❤

The Perfect Mother sounds like something I'd stress over. Abducting babies! It's already giving me the shivers just thinking about it, ha. I once saw a few movies with that general concept and they're so.. freaky..

    2. Yesss! Made me want to learn sign language – although I seriously lack the.. motivation to keep something like that up. I just know that already. :’)
Thrillers intrigue me sometimes. I do have to be in the right mood. Babynapping isn’t really something that makes me go “YES, GIVE ME.” though 😛
