My lord. We’re halfway through June. Which means we’re halfway through the year in two weeks. This is crazy. Absolutely nuts. Can time go any faster maybe?! [Please don’t, I can barely keep up as it is..]
Oh, and I’d keep an eye out on my blog later today! There’s a HUGE giveaway coming your way since today is MY FIRST BLOGIVERSARY AND I AM SO EXCITED YOU HAVE NO IDEA.
But first, let’s get through this Wednesday-ritual of sharing how the last week went!
As always, covers link back to the Goodreads-page, so feel free to check them out!
I needed myself some contemporary after finishing Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, so here we go! So far I’m absolutely, totally loving it because… all the queerness!
I’m doing good, aren’t I?! That’s like five rereads in a week. For someone who never rereads, this is a huge accomplishment, right? Right?!
Last week, I said I was going to read Starfish next, but obviously I haven’t yet. It’s still an option though! That or I’ll start Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. Or maybe To Kill a Kingdom? Or The Fandom?!
So many options!
Great list! Also aren’t those Harry Potter covers great?! I really want to read to Kill a Kingdom but last time I tried to get it the bookstore was sold out… which I guess is a good sign

Right?! I love those covers, haha!
Oh, I read it by now and it’s soooo dark. I loved it! I hope you get your hands on it soon 😀 [But yup, that has to be a good sign, hah!]

I hope you Love To Kill A Kingdom!
What did you think of Simon vs the Homo Sapiens Agenda?

LOVED IT. Although I did have some issues with it but I still have to write my review and think the whole think over, haha.
AND LOVED IT. Simon vs. is easily one of my favorite reads.

I had some issues with it too, but the good outweighed the bad for me

I am so impressed with your rereading ability! Five books is incredible in such a short space especially when one of those books is the Goblet of Fire haha :p

Haha, thank you! I read a lot for sure. Now I’m wondering if I’ll succeed at finishing The Order of the Phoenix before Wednesday. Time will tell! 😛

I would do the same haha ! I wanted to finish my current read before today but that didn’t really happen so I hope you have far more luck! Looking forward to your WWW for this week haha 🙂

Haha; as you saw, I did it! 😀
It’s fun setting goals like that and actually succeeding at them. 😛

Unfortunately I’m not participating in Jazzy June. I decided to use this month to focus on all the ARCs from NetGalley that I have gotten behind in as well as books I’ve been sent by authors for review. Just with those i had about 20 books on my TBR. I swear one of these days I am going to be able to participate in one of your monthly challenges.

Haha, all is good! I hope you’re getting through your ARC’s though! I’ve been letting mine sit quietly for a while as well now, so I’ll have to make up for it soon. 🙂

I was doing so good last week finishing 5 books so far this week I’ve only finished 1.

Awh, that sucks! But not all weeks can be as productive after all. 🙂

I have an ARC of You’re You as well! I’m not sure what to expect yet, but there’s still time until the release date…
I didn’t do Jazzy June because I rarely re-read books, and also I’m doing MarvelAThon so two reading challenges would have been a lot. MarvelAThon is already kicking my ass – I finished 9 books and I still have 12 to go if I want to complete every challenge.:(

I’ve had it for a while and I don’t even remember what it’s about, haha! I really have to look into my ARC’s again, since I’ve been ignoring them for a couple of weeks now..
Honestly, it’s why I came up with Jazzy June in the first place! I’m not much of a rereader either, but I wanted to at least TRY and reread some books. It’s working out better than I expected to be honest!
But I totally get you wouldn’t want to combine multiple challenges – it’s hard enough as it is.
That’s a LOT of books you still have to get through! All the luck to you!! [Does sound like it’s waaaay too many challenges to be able to complete the whole thing though..]

All I know is that it’s about a girl who identifies as lesbian then questions her identity bc she might be bi? I’d love to read more books about questioning characters, so that’s great.
Re-reading books can be great, but I have more than 400 books on my Goodreads shelf that I own a copy of and haven’t read, sooo… if I start re-reading stuff, then I’ll literally never reach the end 😀 But I do have a few books I want to re-read soon, e.g. the Bartimaeus trilogy (it’s about a snarky genie), and the three original Star Wars books.
Technically, MarvelAThon has a few rules to make it less impossible: if you buddyread a book, then you get an extra read, and you can skip 6 challenges total. But I want to at least /try/ completing it without using my skips.

Oooh! Right! I remember now! And she struggles with changing her label!
Haha, I really do know the feeling. I don’t have over 400, but I’m nearing 200 so it’s still an awful lot of books to get through.
If you want to reread, I’d say simply do it! We’re reading for fun so we’re totally allowed to pick up whatever we want, even if we’ve read it before. 🙂 I’m trying my best to get rid of the guilt towards my TBR and it’s working out so far.
Okay, that makes it a bit easier but still. I feel like challenges should be doable without having passes like that, haha.
