Wrap-up & Book Haul: [Jazzy] June

Why is this year flying by so quickly? I can hardly believe we’re over half of the year! I really need to get a move on my six month-view of all the goals and challenges I set myself at the start of the year but.. Haven’t had time yet, aah! Not that I’ve had a lot of time in general lately but..
Yeah. Going to stop whining.

You’re not here for that! You’re here to see what I’ve read and what I’ve hauled, so let’s get to it!
Books I read

180 SecondsSimon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda (Creekwood, #1)Leah on the Offbeat (Creekwood, #2)

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (Harry Potter, #4)Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (Harry Potter, #5)

I actually succeeded at rereading a whole lot of books! I expected to fail at this big time, but… I haven’t?

I’m pretty sure this first month of being on a book buying ban failed.. HARD. And July won’t be a “small haul” month either with YALC coming up so, yeah. I’m not even going to think about this anymore.

How did your June go?
What’s your haul like?
Can you stick to book buying bans or is it as big a disaster as mine is?

  1. I CANNOT stick to book buying bans at all…so I’ve stopped telling myself no. It’s more of a limit to books that I have on my most anticipated list, than an outright ban. That usually works a little bit better for me. Though I do always have those impulse buys because a book sounds interesting to me.

  2. I love that cover for Under My Skin! And the book sounds so intriguing – I hope it’s a good one. Reading 17 books for June is awesome; great job! I don’t really do book buying bans, but I’m fairly good at not buying TOO many books just from lack of money. haha

  3. YAY! LOTS OF BOOKS! *your TBR screams “NO” from the distance*
I got my hands on an early copy of Grace and Fury too and it sounds friggin’ amazing!!
I really need to get to To Kill A Kingdom….. its been on my TBR for like a century now. Soon it’ll start waving a walking stick at me with malice..

    1. Hahaha, my TBR is done for. I simply hope nobody will get the idea of piling them up or we’ll all get buried under them. :’)
If To Kill a Kingdom is going to do that, I don’t even want to know what moldy walking sticks are pretty much decayed in my bookcase right now.. Oh lord.. :’)

    1. Thank you. The library is basically the only way I read books. I very rarely buy them. Not that I don’t want too I just couldn’t afford it lol. That sucks about your library. Do they let you request books?

    2. I tried requesting a book once and they ended up going “we can always try but.. like.. it’s an English one so I don’t even know whether we have it anywhere.”
I felt like slamming my head against a wall right then and there because – although I don’t remember which one it was exactly – it was a pretty hyped one at that point and I got annoyed for not being able to read it, haha.

  4. Ooo…what did i tell you about the buying ban? It doesn’t work. at least you tried. This month i got two books i pre-ordered from B&N ( Flames in the mist and A reaper at the gates).. i have to wait till October for A muse of nightmares and Bridge of Clay. Have fun at YALC 🙂

    1. Ooh, to be honest, it was working fine! Until one thing happened and my life got turned upside down and I had to get specific books and ended up browsing the other books and.. then my boyfriend went “You could use some book therapy. Go ahead.” and off I went. :’)
Hah, I love pre-orders that far ahead in the future. I always forget about them until they show up. :’)
      Thank you! ❤

  5. What a month! So many cool books 😃
I wanna read starfish and legendary too! The latter was on kindle sale last week, so i got it.
I’m not on a ban, but i didn’t actually many ebooks this past 2 weeks, and i only went to the charity shop 1x 🙈. For me that’s big…
