It’s Wednesday once again. Time flies lately. It’s hard to imagine August is already at its end next week! And then it’s September – which means.. sequels! And.. my birthday! Skies – I’m turning 26 next month.. Okay, let’s just ignore that fact for a little while longer!
Time to see how my reading’s gone!
As always, covers link back to the Goodreads-page, so feel free to check them out!
I finally started Legendary, guys! And I’m so lost in it. I can’t believe I didn’t pick it up sooner. Is it me or is it at least ten times better than Caraval?! I’m going to be flying through it as soon as I get home tonight – I hope.
I finally kicked Hollow City off my TBR! I’m so proud of myself! Especially since it’s one of the books that was stuck on my current reads for weeks and weeks before I decided to kick it off. Now to read the third installment and be done with it..
I don’t really like the books / story / writing but still want to know how it’ll end? Ugh.
I’ve said it.. two times already? But I need to read The Lion Tamer Who Lost next! And Library of Souls. And The Subtle Knife. I’m hoping to have read two of these by next week!
I am so interested in I Do Not Trust You. The title and cover are so perfect.

Saaame! I finished it last night and THOSE TWISTS. I was so lost in the story I didn’t even think about the possible twists coming my way, haha.

I didn’t care. I was like, “My body is ready, so bring it on.”
It’s so good. I heard the final book will be out next May. It’s too long 😭

Whyyy is there always so much time between sequels. I need them noooow.
That’s seriously one of the disadvantages of being in the book community though. If it wasn’t for this community, I wouldn’t have heard of the books until well after the series was finished. :’D

OH wow I’m so happy you are enjoying Legendary so much – I liked Caraval, and I heard amazing things about the sequel. Guess I should try it out at some point 😀 x

You should! I have a crazy amount of stuff on my mind lately and Legendary made me forget all about it as soon as I started reading! 😀

I’ve been meaning to start Miss Peregrine’s but I don’t know if I want to??? I have them on my shelf but I always pass over them…. I don’t think I’m going to pick them up anytime soon.
GAH! I need to read Caraval!!! My TBR has been crazy recently I swear….

Miss Peregrine’s first book was.. okay. Then I started the second one and I just struggled and struggled some more? I don’t know. It could’ve been me, but I’ve seen others say the same. Maybe you’ll experience it differently?
YES TO CARAVAL. And then Legendary. Seriously, make sure you have Legendary at the ready because it’s even better than Caraval. TONS BETTER.

The Lion Tamer Who Lost is quite an interesting title! Is it crime fiction or literary?

After reading the blurb, definitely not crime fiction. I’m currently putting my bet on an LGBTQ romance. 🙂

Oooo The Subtle Knife. So jealous you get to read that for the first time – it’s one of those I wish I could go back and read for the first time again. Loved it. One of my absolute favourites!

I honestly had some trouble getting into it – obvious, since.. I’m answering a comment from August 22nd ; SO SORRY ABOUT THAT – but I’m over half now and it’s going way more smooth! The whole switching worlds thing is so interesting!

Hahaha yep, fair play. It’s one of those books people (me) and completely fanatical about. Can’t imagine anyone not liking. Like Harry Potter. Can you imagine someone telling you they didn’t like Harry Potter… no. Just no! But I think it’s different reading it when you’re not 10 years old… I liked the way he did the switching worlds as well. And I lived Citigazze, I still kind of want to go there!

Haha, I can totally imagine! Anyone saying they don’t like Harry Potter gets a whole lot of fire thrown at them from all directions.
It’s definitely different when you’re older, but books like these.. They should be as amazing now as all those years ago. It’s what makes them so magical after all.
I’m really curious to see what’ll happen in Citigazze! They just got hold of the subtle knife so I’m keen to see where the story will be heading next!

I’ve had Hollow City on my shelf for years and still haven’t got around to reading it! I think at this point I’d have to reread the first book as I read that in about 2012 or something!

Haha, I guess you should! I read the first book last year and then got stuck about 60 pages into Hollow City. I just wasn’t feeling it. Still am not feeling it, but I just want to knock them off my TBR for some reason.. :’)
