Wrap-up & Book Haul: [Sequel] September

Wrap-up

September was a hard month to get through. Deadlines at work, a whole lot of stuff happening in my personal life.. Yet somehow.. I still managed to make this one of my best reading months this year! Not only looking at numbers, but most definitely looking at my own Sequel September-challenge. I read a ton of sequels and I’m so proud of myself!

Let’s see how many I read!

As always, covers link back to the Goodreads-page! And a new addition: the star-ratings link back to my reviews if I’ve posted them or added one on Goodreads!

Books I read

See, not too bad, hey? I never thought I’d tick off so many of my sequels but I did! I finished a whole lot of them, which is going to justify me starting some new ones in October, haha. Have to admit, I’m secretly hoping to finish the ones I’m going to start as well.. And not have them hanging around for a year.. We’ll see!

OTHER BOOKS OFF MY TBR I READ

Romeo And Juliet (Giunti Classics)Love Letters

Romeo and Juliet by Shakespeare ~ ★★★
Love Letters by Katie Fforde ~ ★★★★

No clue why I suddenly decided to pick these up? I wasn’t planning on it at all, but suddenly they just had to be read. Guess our brains can work like that sometimes. And, at least now I got to tick off another classic! Yay!

Five ARC’s isn’t a bad number! Only one of my reviews is online right now, but be sure to be on the lookout for the others! Most of them are scheduled to pop up during October.

PRE-ORDERS

Wildcard (Warcross, #2)Escaping from Houdini (Stalking Jack the Ripper, #3)

SEQUELS! Of course I had to buy some sequels during Sequel September, right? Oh, who cares! We all know those are two of my most anticipated reads – especially since reading Hunting Prince Dracula so I’m not even going to make any excuses. There aren’t any.

I am so glad with how September went reading-wise. I’m really hoping October / OWNtober will be as amazing. Although I’ll definitely be.. limited in number of books read because of my IT-readalong.. Which I’m going to start reading in.. about.. an hour or something. We’ll see how it goes?

How was your month? Did you read a lot of books?
What does your haul look like? Sequels? Standalones? First installments?
What was your absolute BEST read of September?

  1. Wow you had such a productive month, I’m so jealous! I read your review of the Lion Tamer who lost and immediately added it to my tbr because it sounds great! And I can’t wait to get my hands on Girls of Paper and Fire.

  2. Your crushed it Kathy!! You did amazing reading 18 books and so many sequels for your Sequel September Challenge. I didn’t do so well with that challenge. I only read one sequel and I also started and finished a series but idk if that really counts.

  3. I’m impressed by how many books you were able to read. Obviously, Sequel September was a great success for you. I will have to participate next year.

I’m eager to hear what you think of Mirage. I’ve been hearing a lot about it.

  4. Wow, I am so amazed that you read 18 books although you had a lot to do. I just started school and also had a lot of work but I read 3 books 😂. Great job! 🤗🤗

    1. Thank you!
I have to admit I didn’t think I would fall in love with those books like I did. Normally I’m avoiding historical fiction more than anything else but those books are sooo different and worth it! ❤
