“Reading” update, but not really – WWW: October 24th

WWW Wednesday

As the title implies, this isn’t really a very interesting post, for one reason and one reason alone: nothing has changed. Absolutely zilch, nada! Unless you count adding one book to my current reads and.. that’s it? All of the underneath is pretty much a copy/paste-thing of last week’s post!

Which is why I’ll make this a bit more interesting by talking about.. other stuff!
First: I won’t be as present next week because I’m going on holiday for five days and I am so looking forward to it! We’ll be staying in a small cottage with our own sauna, bubble bath and rain shower and.. well, let’s just say I’m completely, entirely, totally ready for some relaxation after the torture of these past couple of months.
Second: The lovely Destiny and I are planning to host a ten day-readathon at the end of December so keep an eye out for that post! It’ll probably be up sometime at the start of November. We’re so excited to do this and I hope you are too!

Let’s see what today’s update looks like.

As always, covers link back to the Goodreads-page, so feel free to check them out!

Current read

ItSinner (The Wolves of Mercy Falls, #4)One New York Christmas

Like I said: the only difference here is the addition of One New York Christmas and that happened because I didn’t have Sinner with me and wanted to read something other than IT for a bit. Compared to last week, I did make a huge dent in the latter though! I only have about 200 pages to go before I’m done – which is a freaking miracle considering I was.. about 300 pages behind schedule in my previous update?

Finished reading

I’m just going to act as if this isn’t blank..

Reading next

Goddess of the Sea (Goddess Summoning, #1)The Art of Baking Blind

LI don’t know. I wanted to get to Goddess of the Sea and The Art of Baking Blind last week, but at this point I truly have no idea what I’m going to do once I finish IT. Hopefully finish Sinner? Or maybe cave and get myself an ecopy of Kingdom of Ash? Or maybe I’ll just see what books catch my eye when I’m packing?

ARC overview

Imber (Thanatos Trilogy #1)Oliver and Erica: When Friends become LoversThe Queen's WingThe Girl KingThe Gilded Wolves (The Gilded Wolves, #1)Magical Mystery Paws (The No. 2 Feline Detective Agency)

How did your week go? Life-wise and reading-wise?
Anything special or out of the ordinary happen?

What do you think the theme will be for the December-readathon?

If you have a WWW-post of your own, feel free to leave it in the comments!

  1. Omg a read-at-thon at the end of December, a time when I won’t have school and I’ll actually be able to participate?? I’m so excited to hear more about this! 😊

Oooh, I have an ARC for The Gilded Wolves also! Sad that I probably won’t be able to get around to it until December tho…

I hope you have a great holiday!

    1. Haha, this is why we thought the timing would be perfect! I already put up the very general info (you can find it at the top of my blog under short-a-thon in the main menu!).

I’ve no clue yet when I’ll read The Gilded Wolves. I usually have one ARC on my current reads at all times so.. maybe soon? Maybe not? We’ll see. 😛

      Thank you! 😀

    2. Oooh a readathon dedicated to reading short books? That’s so awesome; I can’t wait to participate! Lol, where was this when I needed in last year? (Last December I read 11 books in the last 15 days of the year to make my reading goal with 2.5 hours to spare! It was an intense time 😝)

Also, I hope you enjoy The Gilded Wolves when you get around to it!

    3. Yess!
Hahahaha, oh god. I can totally imagine! I’m planning on clearing my current reads before the readathon starts so I can HOPEFULLY start with an empty “currently reading” in 2019 but we’ll see about that. 😛

      Thank you!

    4. That’s a good idea! I should aim for that too. Or perhaps I can cheat a little bit and use the readathon to help clear my “currently reading” books… 😁

  2. I had a great reading week, thanks to a 24 hour readathon. I think I read 11 books this past week. Oh, and I’m looking forward to hearing more about this readathon in December.

Have a fantastic and relaxing vacation, Kathy. You totally deserve it.

    1. I saw! That’s an awesome amount of books to read in such a short time span!

I’ve put up some general information already; you can check it out in my main menu on top if you want to. 🙂

      Thank you, Dani. ❤

    2. It is a lot of books, but at the same time, they were mostly manga, so there’s less text to read, which makes reading them take a lot less time.

Still, I’m going to have to raise my Goodreads Reading Challenge goal again. Lol.

Yay! I will check it out very soon.

    3. Definitely, especially since I typically read a volume of manga in something like 30 minutes. I’m pretty sure at least 30% of what I’ve read this year has been manga and graphic novels.

I hope you get a lot of relaxation and reading time during your vacation.
