Autumn / Fall is almost over and done with, although it has been feeling like that for quite a while now. The weather’s been dreadful over here and.. well, let’s just say I’ll be a happy person when spring’s upon us. I’m definitely not a fan of cold weather. And I’m pretty glad I haven’t seen any real life snow yet. It might be the perfect excuse to stay inside but.. I’d rather read outside in the sun, no doubt! It’s simply too cold, y’know?
Anyway! As I did last season, I’m back with some seasonal goals, a winter bucket list and a seasonal TBR. I’ll be wrapping up autumn’s goals soon, so definitely stay tuned for that!
As per usual, I can’t start ticking off these goals / bucket list items until winter has truly started so I’m only allowed to work on them from December 21st until March 20th.
Book / blog / Goodreads – related
º Read 20 books.
° Stay on top of our Goodreads-group – Devour Your TBR!
º Check all books I read in 2018 and make sure their Goodreads-reviews are.. posted.. [Yikes..]
° Post a new recipe! [The first one was macaroni, but I’m thinking banana cupcakes for the second one?]
° Keep using Goodreads-shelves for my monthly TBR’s. [New thing I’m trying starting with this month!]
Personal / health – related
° Drink all the water every day.
° Eat at least two different kinds of fruit every week.
° Try out some new and healthy stews!
° Maybe.. Give birth to the little wiggle? [I can’t not add this. I just can’t..]
º Have at least one or two dates with the BF before the little one arrives.
° Get a pregnancy shoot done. [I didn’t really want one at first, but I’ve changed my mind?]
° Find the perfect lighting fixture for my personal library. [Still haven’t..]
° Get all the addresses for the birth announcements written on the envelopes before.. giving birth..
° Go to a Christmas market.
° Hot chocolate with marshmallows! Multiple times!
° Get started on setting up my library? [Maybe.. It’s a huge question mark right now, but hopefully?]
As previous times, I’m taking into account the upcoming monthly reading challenges. Those consist of books I wanted to read in 2018 but didn’t [January Jam Jar] and fantasy novels [Fantastic February]. I’m not adding horror / suspenseful reads right now, simply because.. those are all packed up in boxes? So I have no clue if I’ll be able to participate in my own challenge. Let alone with the little wiggle being born in February and all.. But, here’s the link to that challenge anyway: Monstrous March.
That is an impressive seasonal to-do list. Good luck with it all, and especially good luck with the move and unpacking. Oh, and happy reading!

Thank you! The move has gone.. fairly well? We’re still having some practical issues with getting our couch out of the apartment though, haha. Hopefully that’ll be fixed tomorrow. 🙂

Aw good luck with all your goals! The fact that you’re doing such an awesome job while being pregnant is VERY impressive! Hope everything goes smoothly when it’s baby time too!

Thank you! I do try keeping my pregnancy into account so that helps, haha. Fingers crossed for that! I have no clue how life will be like – who does, right? – so we’ll have to see. 😀

Good luck on your TBR! Most of my January TBR jar books aren’t on my Winter TBR at TTT. My goal for the winter is to finish writing my book and get it ready for my CP and beta readers!

Great list. I’m scared to read Jay’s new one because I’ve heard there is a massive cliffhanger. I love you put personal health goals – so important! I need to figure out my winter goals soon, so behind.

Oh lord. I don’t like cliffhangers very much, haha.
Thank you! Well, you still have a couple of days. 😀

Best of luck for all of your winter goals, Kathy, you can do this! ❤ I hope you'll have some time to think of your personal library, I can't help but be very curious about how it will be set up and everything hahaha 🙂
I'm really glad to see The Poet X on your upcoming TBR, I've been curious about that one for a little while, can't wait to hear what you think of it 🙂 ❤

It'll all depend on how quickly we get the upstairs ready, really. Right now the plan is to put our bed in the room where my library is supposed to be until after all electricity-stuff is handled. 😛
Same! Every time I saw it somewhere, I kicked myself for not having a copy yet but I finally do! 😀

Ohh okay, well.. .Still a bit of time before the library really exists, I guess, haha, but I’ll wait 😀

Less than two months to go, haha!
The Poet X has been on my list for sooo long; hopefully I’ll get to read it in January. 🙂 Same for Crimes of Grindelwald! Although I’m still doubting whether I should read it before or after watching the movie?

I want to read the poet x super bad! I hope your little wiggle comes soon and without any complications! I just had my own little one a few months ago!

Same! I wanted to read it the moment it arrived but.. well.. other reads have to take priority sometimes, haha.
A little less than two months to go but I feel like it’ll be there before we know it! Aawh, congratulations! How has it been so far? I can only imagine my life being turned upside down completely and not having any time to read, which will feel so weird? I think?

It definitely will be here before you know it. The last month is honestly the hardest, or was for me. Life is definitely different, but it’s so amazing being able to see that little baby grow each day and learn things. I actually have plenty of time to read. I do a lot of night time reading on my phone through my library app when I’m feeeding her during the night.

Well. Two more months to go, so we’ll see, hah. The only thing I currently have some “issues” with is waking up in the middle of the night, wide-awake and not being able to sleep for a couple of hours. Good thing I can catch up on some sleep during the weekend or I’d be a mess.
I can imagine! I honestly can’t wait to actually see him instead of only feeling him all the time. Although I do think I’ll miss all the kicking he’s doing, haha.
That’s good to know! I’ve already put some more books on my Kindle than I normally do, so I’ll be prepared. 🙂

I was waking up to use the bathroom every three hours like clockwork, it was ridiculous. A lot of people miss pregnancy and the kicks and all that, but I surprisingly don’t (yet). It’s so much better to have that little babe in your arms.

Ha, that too but it doesn’t bother me all that much. Except for the times I wake up because of it and.. feel like I can’t stand up straight because my bladder is near bursting? Although it’s probably more because of the combination with the little wiggle’s pressure on my bladder and having to pee. It’s such a weird feeling!
Was yours very active during your pregnancy? Mine pretty much never stops moving, which is why I’m thinking I’ll miss all the wiggling and kicks. 🙂

She moved non-stop. She got the hiccups every night right as I was trying to fall asleep. I thought I would miss it, but I don’t. I miss my belly sometimes, but meh.

Okay, so that definitely has nothing to do with it then, haha. I think that’s the one thing I won’t miss, but that has more to do with how I was overweight until a couple of years back, so in a way it’s very confronting to now see my belly stick out once again. 🙂

That’s tough! I’ve always been skinny ish. It was funny always bumping into stuff and not being able to move in between things with the same ease.

Good luck with the water thing! If you ever find a foolproof way for making sure you drink all the water you need to tell me. haha. I’m like a cactus. There are days when i don’t drink at all.
Hope you manage to get to a xmas market 🙂

Well.. Being pregnant helps? xD Seriously. I put two liters of water on my desk every day at work and they’re POOF before I realize it?
When I’m at home the entire day, it’s hardest though. I tend to drink anything but water then.. :’)
Thanks! Shouldn’t be a problem since the BF appears to have added an entire list of possible Christmas markets to our joint email account? xD

It’s the middle of summer where I live so I would gladly trade you my heat and humidity for some snow right about now. My main goal for the next few months (or years, if we’re being realistic) is to get through all the unread books on my shelves starting with the ones in my TTT post! but I’m really bad at sticking to TBRs so we’ll see how that goes. I read LIFEL1K3 earlier in the year and really liked it so I hope you enjoy it, too!

YES. TRADE. PLEASE. I’d rather have the issue of cooling down than trying to get warm. Even more so since heating at work is down – apparently – and I’m freezing my nose and butt of right now..
Gah. I relate to that goal. Let’s hope we both manage it! Definitely heading over to your post to see what books you’ve mentioned, haha. 🙂
Thank you! I’m reading Nevernight right now and I’m already so KEEN on reading Lifel1k3. I knew Jay Kristoff’s writing would be different, but I didn’t expect to like it this much, haha.

I want to join Fantastic February, but I don’t know. I’m hesitant to sign up for challenges.

Oh, you shouldn’t feel too pressured about my challenges though! They’re extremely low-key. Some participants sign up to focus on a challenge the entire month, while others only read one book for a month’s challenge. 🙂

We didn’t even design the birth cards until after I had given birth haha.
Watching Glass Shatter has such an interesting cover.

Trust me, we would’ve done the same thing. Fortunately my boyfriend’s brother is all about things like that so he’s taken it upon himself to design the cards. 😛
Right? I’ve been meaning to read it ever since it released but.. *whistles*
