I’ve been busy trying to catch up on everything. From my blog to work to chores to baby-related stuff to reading to Goodreads.. And that’s not even mentioning social media! I’ve no clue how I’ll be getting on top of things again. I might even be considering just giving up already since we all know it’ll be doomed in about a month or so anyway, haha.
Anyway! 2018 is over and done with, which means Diverse December is as well and that asks for a wrap-up. Reading-wise and haul-wise. Let me tell you, the latter part is.. huge.. I might’ve done a small Christmas splurge. Just a small one. Tiny really. Hear the sarcasm? IT’S HUGE.
So let’s just dive into it and.. prepare yourself for my haul of shame, haha.
As always, covers link back to the Goodreads-page! The star-ratings link back to my reviews if I’ve posted them or added one on Goodreads!

I read plenty of diverse books during December, yay me! Admittedly, there were some very short ones too but still. They count. Because I say so. I’ve yet to write my reviews / make up my mind about The Earth, My Butt and Other Big Round Things and Girl Hearts Girl, so those ratings are.. missing for now. I simply haven’t had time to gather my thoughts yet. Let alone write a decent review on Nevernight.. I just can’t.
OTHER BOOKS ON MY OWNED TBR I READ
No diverse reads, but they did count towards my Short-a-thon books so..
ARC’S I READ
Witchcraft and Monsters by Kala Godin ~ ★★★★ [Review to come later this month!]
The Girl King by Mimi Yu ~ ★★★★☆ [Review to come tomorrow!]
Tell Me a Secret by Jane Fallon ~ ★★★★☆ [Review to come later this month!]
I didn’t really read a lot of ARC’s compared to past months, but since I enjoyed all of them? Happy me.

Kiss of Fire by Rebecca Ethington ~ ★★★☆
A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens ~ ★★
The Last Train: A Short Story by Jamie Brindle ~ ★★★★
Three Times the Fun by Blythe Reid ~ ★★☆
A Holiday by Gaslight by Mimi Matthews ~ ★★★★
Love is Not Lost by Nikki Bolvair ~ ★
After the huge Kindle-hole I fell into at the end of November, I’m actually glad I managed to tick off an entire bunch during December? Let’s hope I can keep this in check before my eTBR gets out of hand as much as my owned TBR already is..
Total number of books read: 21
Average rating: 3.66 (of 19 books with known rating)
KINDLE [Please stop me.. – only one wasn’t free though..]
Look at me trying to hide anywhere at this point. This is a whole MOUNTAIN of books and I do realize that.. Thing is we – yes, my boyfriend and I – agreed I was allowed one last, final, huge splurge before the little wiggle / little meatball / little spaghetti is born and.. I did just that? It did count as the boyfriend’s Christmas gift to me as well though! So.. there’s that? Not to mention I got some awesome books from awesome people – shout-out to Destiny and Chelscey in particular!
I haven’t read a lot yet this last week, which you can read about in yesterday’s reading update, but I’ve been slowly getting into the mood again. The Gilded Wolves is shouting my name and I can’t wait to read more of it once I get home from work! Not to mention how my January Jam Jar books are shouting my name even louder – I cannot wait to dive into those jar-books!
How was your December? What was your favorite read?
Have you set any 2019 reading goals or are you going to take things as they come?
What’s a book from my haul you feel I should read RIGHT NOW?
