I wanted to post this last week, but I didn’t have time to write the post. Like, I literally only had my preparation of “books and music genres” in a draft and that’s about it. No book covers, no text, no nothing. On top of last week being nuts, I just couldn’t handle adding this in the mix. So.. I’m solving it by posting the topic today since I really wanted to do it still!
Obviously, I’m skipping this week’s topic and going with the topic most did last week.. Here’s my TTT for “Book titles that would make great band names”!
All covers link back to Goodreads if you feel like checking them out.
Here’s the genres / music style I think would fit these titles should they be used as band names:
Moxie by Jennifer Mathieu ~ I’m thinking soft rock, definitely feminist lyrics though.
The Poet X by Elizabeth Acevedo ~ Something along the lines of Hollywood Undead with non-stop rhyming!
Scythe by Neal Shusterman ~ Without a doubt death metal.
180 Seconds by Jessica Park ~ Imagining pop with songs that last exactly 180 seconds
Heartless by Marissa Meyer ~ I’m thinking female singer with Taylor Swift-vibes.
As, for these books, these are my musical thoughts:
Heartstopper by Alice Oseman ~ Boy band-style, but not boys; definitely queer rep galore.
Letters to the Lost by Brigid Kemmerer ~ A rock band, meaningful lyrics that hit a lot of people in the feels.
Nyxia by Scott Reintgen ~ I don’t listen to it, but possibly electronic stuff?
Sawkill Girls by Claire Legrand ~ I’d like to see a metal band, all female.
Reign of the Fallen by Sarah Glenn Marsh ~ I can’t help but think of something Avatar-like.
What music genre or specific band even would you link to your current read?
What do you think of my picks?
Feel free to leave a link to your TTT so I can check it out!
