GETTING ALL THE O.W.L.s! ~ The Big April Wrap-Up

This post is insane. It’s crazy. Usually I write my intro before even starting the rest but.. this time I kept it for last because I didn’t know what to say and now? Now my brain is going “wow.. wow.. just wow..” because I had one of the best reading months in a long while and I’m so happy about it!
Also, apart from reading, life is hectic right now since your girl is trying to do way too many things at once but.. it’ll be worth it in the end I’m sure. You gotta do what you gotta do if you want to reach certain things in life, right? Right!

Anyway. Enough with the babbling already. Here’s my wrap-up!

As always, covers link back to the Goodreads-page!
The star-ratings link back to my reviews if I’ve posted them or added one on Goodreads!

Books I read

Meet Cute: Some People Are Destined to MeetSalty, Bitter, SweetMore Than MaybeSummer Island

These are all the contemporary books I read this month! Not too bad, if you ask me. Especially considering a lot of these weren’t on my TBR at all this month.. Which brings me to..

O.W.L.s MAGICAL READATHON ~ The actual TBR I set myself

Pandemonium RoadMeet Cute: Some People Are Destined to MeetThings My Son Needs to Know About The WorldHungry Hearts: 13 Tales of Food & Love

Pandemonium Road by Thomas Emson ~ ★★★★☆ [Potions]
Meet Cute by a lot of authors ~ ★★★☆ [Herbology]
Things My Son Needs to Know about the World by Fredrik Backman ~ ★★★★ [Astronomy]
Hungry Hearts by a lot of authors ~ ★★★★ [Ancient Runes]

These are the books I actually put on my official TBR for the O.W.L.s readathon. Safe to say that I succeeded brilliantly at sticking to it – for the most part! In a way at least.. Because I mixed up all the subjects and the books I planned on reading for them. But! I succeeded at ticking off all the prompts I need for the career Culinary Sorcerer, yay! Let’s see what books I used:

O.W.L.’s MAGICAL READATHON ~ The mood-reading gone nuts

House of Earth and Blood (Crescent City, #1)Salty, Bitter, SweetDubbellevenDawn till Dusk (Genesis Crystal Saga #1)
More Than MaybeGet a Life, Chloe Brown (The Brown Sisters, #1)Sword in the Stars (Once & Future #2)Summer Island

House of Earth and Blood by Sarah J. Maas ~ ★★★★★ [Care of Magical Creatures]
Salty, Bitter, Sweet by Mayra Cuevas ~ ★★ [Charms]
Dubbelleven by Chinouk Thijssen ~ ★★★★ [Arithmancy]
Dawn Till Dusk by Tyffany Hackett and Becky Moynihan ~ ★★★★ [Transfiguration]
More Than Maybe by Erin Hahn ~ ★★★★★ [Muggle Studies]
Get a Life, Chloe Brown by Talia Hibbert ~ RTC [Divination]
Sword in the Stars by Amy Rose Capetta and Cory McCarthy ~ ★★★★★ [History of Magic]
Summer Island by Natalie Normann ~ RTC [ Defence Against the Dark Arts]

And, with that, I ticked off all the possible prompts for this month’s O.W.L.s! I’m so ridiculously proud of myself. It’s the best reading month I’ve had in ages. Favorites? House of Earth and Blood and More Than Maybe. Definitely. No doubt about it.

Only the OceanA Girl Like Her (Ravenswood, #1)The Raven and the Dove (The Raven and the Dove, #1)

Only the Ocean by Natasha Carthew ~ DNF [that writing..]
A Girl Like Her by Talia Hibbert ~ RTC
The Raven and the Dove by Kaitlyn Davis ~ RTC

I DNF’d Only the Ocean and you can read my reasons for that in this small Goodreads-review. The other two books are ones I read in between the others and.. didn’t have a prompt for? Although I guess A Girl Like Her could fit as a second Arithmancy read since I mostly read ya fantasy and contemporary.

Total number of books read: 14
Average rating: 4.10 [for 10 books I already rated/reviewed]

I’m, once again, really happy with my reading past month. It’s been a long, long while since I read this many books and I hope to keep it up? Not likely but I can try! This month I’m mood-reading ARC’s so we’ll see how it goes, haha.

What’s your favorite April read?
Did you participate in the O.W.L.s? How did you do?
