I don’t know why I went with this very.. ominous title when starting this post but.. like.. I didn’t feel like changing it? Anyway! We’re back for a Top Ten Tuesday, although I didn’t get to ten books this time around. I simply don’t “DNF” that many books, guys… The books mentioned here go from this year back to 2018.. Either I’m good at picking my reads or I’m the worst at putting them aside when they aren’t to my liking. Who knows!
So, let’s just dive into my TTT for “The last
ten five books I abandoned”!
All covers link back to Goodreads if you feel like checking them out.
Here’s the short recap as to why (more detailed opinions to be found on the link added):
The Miseducation of Cameron Post by Emily M. Danforth ~ Couldn’t connect with the main character and the story didn’t grab me at all – Goodreads-review.
Belle Révolte by Linsey Miller ~ Couldn’t figure out the politics, POV’s felt the same and made it confusing – Goodreads-review!
Only the Ocean by Natasha Carthew ~ Writing was entirely not my thing, at all – Goodreads-review.
My Lady’s Choosing by Kitty Curran and Larissa Zageris ~ Written from second person, you’re assumed to know things / have had conversations you didn’t see on-page yourself; I got frustrated.. – Goodreads-review.
Noah Can’t Even by Simon James Green ~ Main character felt too childish and annoying – Goodreads-review.
That’s it! The five books over the past two years I tossed aside and are.. even a bit worthy of mentioning.
What’s the main reason you DNF books?
What’s the worst “book of doom” you’ve ever tried reading?
Feel free to leave a link to your TTT so I can check it out!
