I cannot resist reading challenges, even more so if it's one to give certain groups a louder voice. This time? Asian authors! I'll be doing an extra effort to read books by Asian authors this year, all thanks to #YARC2019!
I was totally in the mood for a whimsical, circus-y setting and was told Daughter of the Burning City would deliver on that front. Unfortunately.. there were definitely some downsides to this novel..

I usually don't read non-fiction at all, but once in a while you stumble upon a book that sounds too interesting not to give it a shot. The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck is one of those books. I have to admit: At first, I wasn't all to sure about reviewing this book because the things you pick up, the things you learn and want to put to use are personal and will differ for every single person reading the book. In the end, though, I wanted to share and maybe convince others to read it as well.
