ASIAN-INSPIRED LGBTQIA+ STORY THAT WON OVER MY HEART AND SOUL ~ Girls of Paper and Fire by Natasha Ngan

Back when I went to YALC in July, this is one of the ARC's I succeeded at picking up. I was so pumped to read it, but.. as usual, it disappeared down the TBR-mountain. That is, until people kept saying and mentioning how they were looking forward to Girls of Paper and Fire and I couldn't not pick it up immediately! So, here's my review - fingers crossed I do this novel justice with it.

BEAUTIFUL QUEER STORY THAT BROKE MY HEART ~ The Lion Tamer Who Lost by Louise Beech

When I first heard of this book, I was intrigued immediately. It sounded like something I would pick up but.. on the other hand, it also sounded like something I wouldn't pick up - if you get what I mean. The LGBTQIA+ part of this novel immediately spoke to me, but I wasn't really sure about the homophobic impression I got from the blurb. I'm glad I ended up requesting this ARC anyway because.. I don't regret reading The Lion Tamer Who Lost one bit!

Wrap-up & Book Haul: [Sci-Fi] July

House-hunting, melting in the sun - and in the shadow -, going to London, more house-hunting, even more house-hunting, trying to catch up on my blog.. Yup, it's been quite the month for me! Of course, reading-wise it means I've had less time. I knew it up front, but you always keep hoping you'll have more time to read than you anticipated, right? Anyway! The last month I read this "little", was March. I read equally as many books but less pages. Oh well! Let's see what I've been up to, huh?!
