I don't really shy away from harder, tougher reads, but I practically JUMPED for this one. The Sky Is Mine has a lot of taboo subjects, but the book itself is definitely one to talk about. Shout about even.
I don't read a lot of graphic novels, but when I do they're very obviously "hit or miss". Alice Oseman's work? HIT. HIT. HIT. HIT. HIT.
A story about feeling lonely, alone and trying to find a way to get heard. A story about friendship in the best possible way. A story with so much diverse rep you can't keep track of it. A story you should read.
I'm a sucker for romance novels where any type of creativity is involved. This one? This one contains hand lettering. And a slow romance. Like.. Need I say more?
