Grief is hard to read about, even more so if it's the loss of a sibling. But there's so much more to this story than just that which makes it worth reading even more so. Definitely one to pick up! But.. read my review first maybe?
Whenever there's a book with fat rep, I absolutely need to read it. Which is what I did with Dumplin'! Did I like it? Love it? Were things familiar? Find out in my review here!
I was totally in the mood for a whimsical, circus-y setting and was told Daughter of the Burning City would deliver on that front. Unfortunately.. there were definitely some downsides to this novel..
Political intrigue, a character destined to become the first female ruler and then there's shapeshifters? Nobody should even expect me not to read this, want to read this, want to cuddle this and devour it and.. and.. well.. everything.
I honestly cannot believe I waited this long to read The Upside of Unrequited. It's not like I didn't want to read it, I simply didn't get around to it? Other books kept distracting me and now I'm blaming all those books for keeping me from this precious, little gem. I fell in love, you guys.
It's a fact I'm not afraid to dwell in different genres than YA contemporary and fantasy, but it's not often I actually dive into anything smut-ish or steamy. Now that I think about it.. It's usually around December I start dwelling into those genres? Anyway. Since those novels are often short ones, I decided to do some mini-reviews!
Want to find out what I'm going to read in the final month of 2018? Then this is the post you need! Diverse reads everywhere, yay!
