February is all about fantasy reads, and that's exactly what we're going to do with Fantastic February! Are you ready for this challenge? Because I sure am! [Among other things..]
I was in total awe of the cover the first time I stumbled upon The Gilded Wolves. As you all know, I'm usually not that big on historical fiction but.. First the cover, then the blurb and.. I was sold?
Political intrigue, a character destined to become the first female ruler and then there's shapeshifters? Nobody should even expect me not to read this, want to read this, want to cuddle this and devour it and.. and.. well.. everything.
I took a while to read this trilogy, but I'm honestly.. happy to say I've both started and finished all three books in a little over a month's time! I've had these for quite some time now and, because I'm very interested in Kiersten White's The Conqueror's Saga, decided to finally give them a shot! But did I like them? Or do I wish I hadn't read them at all?
This is definitely a book outside of my comfort zone, but this weird, pregnant woman was craving something.. funny? And I stumbled upon Magical Mystery Paws on NetGalley so.. here we are..
The thing that got me to pick up this book is very simple. Empress of All Seasons is an Asian-inspired young adult fantasy, written by an Asian author. Did I enjoy it? Yes. Did I have some issues? Yes.
Last week, I shared some scary and dark books. This week, I'm going to talk about some of my favorite magical creatures and the books they feature in. They're not necessarily dark or halloween-ish, but they definitely have the capability to be! It all depends on the author, I'd say, ha.
