I've read two of Jane Fallon's books before, so I was curious to see where this one would take me. In short? LOVE IT. Jane Fallon, but with a small, new change I didn't see coming!
This is definitely a book outside of my comfort zone, but this weird, pregnant woman was craving something.. funny? And I stumbled upon Magical Mystery Paws on NetGalley so.. here we are..
Sometimes I feel like reading a book that isn't in any of my regular genres, which is exactly what happened when I picked up this one. I do like the occasional thriller or mystery novel, so when I started craving a book like that.. My eyes immediately wandered to S.T.A.G.S by M.A. Bennett. So, here we are! Time to review!
I don't think I have to tell any of you why I immediately requested this book on NetGalley when I stumbled upon it, right? But in case I do: Can you blame me for not being able to resist a cupcake on a cover? A blue cover at that? Me and my cupcakes.. Me and my favorite color being blue.. and on top of that a fantasy with a murder mystery? No way I was going to resist that! Absolutely. No. Way.
Although I'm used to writing longer reviews, this is definitely going to be a shorter one. For once, I really left writing it too late and.. apart from the bullet points I wrote down, I honestly don't remember all that much about this story? Which does say something, doesn't it?
I got this eARC through the publisher and was so keen to jump right in. You all know thrillers aren't my usual kind of book to pick up, but.. sometimes I just can't help myself, ha. I guess you could say it's one of those guilty pleasures, in a way? But was it truly a pleasure this time around?
