I read SCYTHE because of Scifi July and I absolutely loved it! The concept, the world-building, the writing and the story. It ticked all the boxes! Read my review and then grab yourself a copy to read!
Reading my first cli-fi novel ever equals me having to write a review on it, no? So here it is!
July reading challenge, you ask? Why yes, of course! Science fiction it is!
Two queer authors got together and decided to write a queer retelling of King Arthur - science fiction-style! Is it worth it? YES, YES AND YES.
I don't usually post reviews on sequels on my blog, so you know that when I do.. It's either because it was extremely good.. or extremely bad.. I'm thrilled to say Archenemies belongs to the first group because I absolutely loved the freak out of it and.. read it in no time? At all?
Apparently Destiny @ Howling Libraries felt like torturing me by dragging me out of my comfort zone? Truly, I was thinking "Oh boy, this looks like torture" when I was reading her answers to these questions. I didn't even know she tagged me yet at that point. Just imagine my face when I found out. Okay, it wasn't that bad but still. It took me a while to figure out my answers so I hope you enjoy them?
I love myself a good story with royalty so.. you could say my interest was piqued from the get-go with this one. A girl, living for freedom, who suddenly has to give up everything in order to become the future queen? Yes, please! Give me that!
